CoffeeSpace is a community that thrives on the values of authenticity, reliability, and empathy.

Authenticity.

Be yourself and share information that is real and authentic. The name you use on your profile should be the name you use in real life. We don’t allow impersonation of any person or entity unless it is made explicitly clear that there is an artistic purpose, like comedy or parody. You shouldn’t have to act like someone else since others are engaging you for who you are and are hoping to learn from your personal experiences.

Reliability.

Do try as best possible to respond to requests and messages in a timely manner. Never ‘ghost’ someone; not showing up to a session that has been scheduled without notifying the other person is highly discouraging to the person and would prevent them from being able to do something else with that time instead. Time is precious, hence treat it as such.

• Note: Users who are found to consistently fail to show up without a valid reason will be removed from the platform.

Empathy.

Treat everyone with empathy. It is natural to feel strongly about the topics that we’re giving advice on but we shouldn’t be imposing our views on others. It’s about sharing experience, knowledge, and wisdom so that the person on the receiving end is able to make an informed decision, not trying to sway a person to our personal preferences.

Rules to be followed:

When you use CoffeeSpace, you agree to abide by the following rules at all times. You also agree not to encourage others to violate these rules. The latter is taken seriously and can also result in removal from the Service.

• You must be of legal age to use CoffeeSpace, and if below to get explicit permission from your legal guardian.
• You may not engage in abuse, bullying, or harassment of any person or group of people.
• You may not discriminate against, engage in hateful conduct directed at, or threaten violence or harm against any person or group of people.
• You may not share, threaten to share, or incentivize the sharing of other people's private information without their prior permission.
• You may not engage in intentionally disruptive activity that negatively affects the experience of other users.
• You may not transcribe, record, or otherwise reproduce and/or share information obtained in CoffeeSpace without prior permission.
• You may not spread false information or spam, or artificially amplify or suppress information.
• You may not share or promote information (or synthetic or manipulated media) that is intended or likely to cause harm to any person or group of people, including minors.
• You may not use the service for the purpose of conducting any unauthorized or illegal activities.
